This photograph is one of a series from Edgar Scott's archives, many of which
were used as the basis for popular College postcards. The photo is undated, but
the fraternity lived in this house from 1909 to 1932, during which time the Kappa
Theta Fraternity joined the national Delta Tau Delta (1918). The building was known by
a variety of names, including Marsh House, Houghton Hall, and Col. Houghton's
Boarding House, and is located at 34 Spring Street in Amherst. |
