Peter Pouncey was the sixteenth president of the College, and served from 1984-1994. President Pouncey's signature is on the back of a 1994 t-shirt with a series of tiled images of Pouncey on the front and the words "Art for Pete's Sake" on the back, made to commemorate his ten years as president and to raise money for the Amherst Art Department. He signed the shirt on the final day of a history class he taught in the Spring of 1997. |
